Traffic Noise and Heart Attacks

Noise is an environmental problem beginning to be recognized worldwide. New research in the domain reveal that high levels of road traffic noise increases the risk of heart attacks. The study assessed the exposure to road traffic noise over a 20 year period and was done on 3500 people living in Stockholm. Other previous studies showed that noise affects negatively the cardiovascular system.
