Giant Wind Project Launched

The UK has awarded energy companies the rights to develop the world's biggest offshore wind project. The aim of the project is for Britain to become a world leader. Once completed, the project will deliver up to 32 gigawatts (GW) of generation capacity, or enough to meet a quarter of the UK's electricity need by 2020. However, the projects' location far offshore presents a number of technical challenges.
