Work Safety Concerns in Russia

The recent boom in the Russian construction industry has led to a rapid increase in accidents and injuries to workers, says a new report from analysts Frost & Sullivan. Although Russian attitudes to safety protection are slowing changing, a lack of financial resources means that some firms still neglect protective equipment for their workers. The report says that the best way to encourage workers to wear appropriate protective equipment is to improve understanding and awareness that protective equipment is not there to hinder workers, but to help them do their job as safely and efficiently as possible.
