Worker Deaths in Madrid

Spain’s Workplace Inspectorate (Inspeccion de Trabajo) has already investigated 2 workplace deaths in the capital Madrid this week, making the total workplace fatalities in the capital 83 for 2009. The latest fatalities involved a window cleaner who fell from height this weekend and a worker renovating a house. It has been alleged that insufficient safety measures were not put in place in both circumstances.
