Trade unions across Europe have organised events to mark World Occupational Health and Safety Day. In Denmark, trade associations LO and FTF plan to hold events focusing on health and safety at work, while the Irish Congress of Trade Unions plans to hold a conference focusing on issues such as the reporting of workplace fatalities and workplace rights. In Malta, trade unions have planned a seminar on workers’ involvement in risk assessments, while the British Trade Union Congress is holding several activities including a presentation in London of artwork and films to commemorate the sacrifices made by the mining industry.
